- Wheeler Mission Ministries' Camp Out to Stamp Out Homelessness event is a first year event designed to spread awareness of homeless issues and raise funds for Wheeler's life-changing programs. The informational packet contains event information and is used for promotional purposes. It was designed, printed and bound in-house. It is innovative because it uses a stair-step design on the inside pages. This gives the viewer a complete overview of what information is contained in the packet.
- What issue or problem were you working to address with this piece?
- Since Wheeler Mission Ministries' Camp Out to Stamp Out Homelessness event is a first year event, we needed an interesting and creative piece that would give churches, businesses and individuals all of the information they would need concerning this new event. Our organization’s mission is to provide Christ-centered programs and services for the homeless and those in need. Our vision is to see that every man, woman, and child we serve equipped to be productive citizens who enjoy lasting success in Christ. In order to accomplish these goals and help the needy in our community, we need to partner with individuals, churches, and other organizations. The Camp Out to Stamp Out Homelessness event was designed to gather Christians together, inform them about homeless issues, and empower them to work alongside Wheeler Mission to help meet those needs.
- How has your submission successfully impacted your organization’s ability to solve this issue/problem?
- This information packet has served as a vital resource in our promotional efforts for our Camp Out to Stamp Out Homelessness event. Since this even has not occurred yet, we do not know the full impact; however, people who have received this packet have stated that it is very helpful and informative regarding event details and information about Wheeler Mission. It has been distributed to the point persons at churches, business, and other organizations, so they are equipped to effectively promote this event within their own circles of influence. It has helped spread awareness of homeless issues by sharing about this new event coming up. People are realizing that they can partner with Wheeler Mission and truly make a positive impact on ending homelessness in our community.
