- Our affilate decided to update our website, using Adobe products we were able to obtain through Tech Soup!
Our website enjoys alot of traffic, and it gives our audience a way to volunteer, donate, learn about our programs, and sign up to purchase a house.
It shows our donors just how much their dollars and their time help to make the dream of a home for a working family come true. Through our website, you can take a virtual tour of our homes, and see our Habitat homeowners.
- What issue or problem were you working to address with this piece?
- Habitat's main problem is quite simple. EDUCATION Education about our program. Our website in completely informative, and explains so much about our program. Habitat provides working families who are unable to obtain conventional loans to purchase a home through Habitat. We serve families that are between 25 and 60% of median income. While in the Habitat program, Homeowners in progress are required to take budgeting classes, homeownership classes and many other classes to help them become successful homeowners.
- How has your submission successfully impacted your organization’s ability to solve this issue/problem?
- Yes, I believe it has helped. With the ability to use PS, DreamWeaver, Flash and Illustrator, I believe we have a dynamic site that is captivating to the viewer and it is also able to teach the viewer so many things about Habitat.
