- Describe your creative piece – what is it and what has it been used for, and why is it innovative?
- This brochure is created to celebrate the patriotism and honor the service and sacrifice of the United States wounded warriors serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom And Operation Enduring Freedom. It contains the biographical information of the recipients at this presentation ceremony, information about the history and the makeup of the organization and is presented to the recipients and their guests together with approximately 100 of those attending the dinner the evening before the presentation ceremonies.
It is innovative in that it was produced and printed completely by nonprofessionals working out of a home office environment.
- What issue or problem were you working to address with this piece?
- This brochure is intended to honor the service and sacrifice of men and women of the United States military and to address the continuing issues of our wounded warriors who now face a life of serious disability.
The brochure which is provided to those who have an interest in supporting our wounded warriors to show the impact that an all volunteer organization supported by grateful Americans can have addressing an issue with a relatively small funding base.
It is distributed both in print format and via e-mail.
- How has your submission successfully impacted your organization’s ability to solve this issue/problem?
- The submission created by all volunteers who are nonprofessionals have allowed the transmission of our message both in print and via e-mail and Web. Uniquely the challenges that our wounded warriors face down the benefits derived from that which is provided by our organization are best understood through the use of imagery and video. Adobe products have allowed us to accomplish this in a clean and professional looking format at a very low cost.
