- Describe your creative piece – what is it and what has it been used for, and why is it innovative?
- I designed and electronic invitation to complement a print invitation that I also designed for the Five Talents 10th anniversary celebration dinner. Our keynote speaker was from Southern Sudan, therefore, I created an invitation that resembled a tukal, or typical grass hut in Sudan, with photos from my visit there. The top of the electronic invitaion featured thatched grass, while just below it a scene of Sudanese villages filled the inside center panel.
- What issue or problem were you working to address with this piece?
- I wanted to designed an invitation that would peak curiousity and set the stage for the anniversary event, which had a Sudanese theme.
- How has your submission successfully impacted your organization’s ability to solve this issue/problem?
- The invitation successfully conveyed its message as this event resulted in our most successful fundraising effort in 10 years.
